After School Programs
After School programs meet every day from 1:15 - 2:00 with these different groups offering programs for the kids. Sign up sheets for these programs are available at the school or by contacting us.
Mondays - Studio Go
Studio Go is a fun, upbeat, and positive company that seeks to enhance the lives of children and the schools in which we teach. We realize that we are tasked with more than just teaching dance, we are tasked with creating a caring, nurturing environment where kids can be themselves. Children learn technique and concepts of dance, all while learning self-awareness, grace, poise, social skills, and much more. Studio Go is committed to being the “dance studio on the go”, which means we seek to create a studio atmosphere of quality dance, friendly relationships, and a sense of community.
Tuesdays - Playball:
Playball is a fun, structured and active way of engaging children in physical activity at a young age. Our goal is to teach sport properly so that any child who attends one or all of our five programs will achieve a level of competence providing them with a springboard into future sports participation.
Wednesdays - Simply Science:
Simply Science exposes our youngest minds to the fun and exciting world of science. Through experiments and exploration, children will learn to think like scientists. Each week, we will observe by using our senses, ask a question, guess what will happen (predict or make a hypothesis), experiment to test our guesses, and ASK AGAIN and draw conclusions.
Thursdays - Sparkle and Shine Cheerleading and Gymnastics
These classes are a fun way to introduce new motor skills to your toddler. Not only great for motor development, but these classes also provide the perfect environment for making new friends and developing social skills. The instructor of the class will lead the class in a warm up, activity and several skills of the week, while educating the parents on spotting techniques. Skills for this age group consist of progression steps toward preschool skills on uneven bars, beam, floor, vault, parallel bars and rings. Cheer is a specially designed 1 hour class that focuses on preschool age tumbling learning, motions, jump chants, cheers, dance and stunts. Students will learn basic tumble skills including forward rolls, cartwheels, round offs, handstands and standing back handsprings. Cheerleading is arranged to keep this age busy and moving while developing physical strength and more complex coordination.
Fridays - Yoga with Mrs. Mowry:
In yoga class, we concentrate on positive nature, meditation, music and art. Each class will have a certain theme and our art work will be associated with that theme. Mrs. Mowry will tell stories for our yoga class and we will work towards our poses and breathing. The main focus of class is to practice mindfulness, positive thinking and having fun with art and music. Each child will develop flexibility, confidence and peace within.
